Sintra Terrace, nestled in the historic charm of Sintra, Portugal, is a dining experience that beautifully blends delightful scenery with a diverse menu. Guests are greeted with stunning views that enhance their meals, making it a sought-after destination for both locals and tourists alike.
Customer feedback presents a mixed bag. While some diners, like Andrew Blackburn, rave about the extraordinary duck and its rich flavors, others, like Shan & Brooke, found the food to be merely adequate and the pricing a bit high for the quality offered. Highlights from the menu include the creamy mushroom risotto and enticing dishes such as octopus and pork tenderloin, which received praise for their presentation and taste.
The friendly and attentive staff further elevate the dining experience, ensuring that guests feel welcome. However, be prepared for possible wait times, as the small venue often draws a crowd. Overall, Sintra Terrace offers a blend of enjoyable dishes and enchanting views, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone visiting this picturesque region.

Reviews for Sintra Terrace
Review highlights
Based on 2,108 reviewsSintra Terrace is frequently praised for its stunning views and friendly, attentive staff, making it a popular spot despite its small size and potential wait times. The food generally receives positive remarks, especially dishes like duck, risottos, and seafood, which many find flavorful and well-prepared. However, some customers note that certain menu items feel overpriced and that service timing can be inconsistent. While most of the menu is well-liked, a few dishes, such as salads, have received mixed feedback. Overall, Sintra Terrace is appreciated for its combination of quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and picturesque location, appealing strongly to visitors seeking both ambiance and taste in Sintra’s historic center.
Menu a bit overpriced for what it is. Told that a specific item would take 20+ mins so we didn't order it, but then food took 30 mins to get there served anyway. Food was fine - we got the shrimp pasta and the cod risotto - nothing particularly memorable.
AMAZING!!! I’ve had duck multiple times and the duck I had here was hands down the best! Tasted like steak, super juicy and the skin was perfect!! The risotto that came with it was honestly so delicious I wanted 4 more. Highly recommend this place! I also had the chocolate moose and it was also AMAZING! Only thing I took the “red pepper” seeds off the moose as in my option it totally ruined the flavour. But will definitely be coming back! Definitely check this place out when you’re in Sintra!
You want to eat with a view? This is a good place. Probably there will be a queue to enter it, as it is a small place. The octopus was great, tender and nicely seasoned. The Caesar's salad wasn’t that good, but maybe it’s just my taste. The octopus salad and the cod cakes were okay. The staff were friendly and very attentive.
Beautiful scenery from our seat! Had the white sangria and it was refreshing! My wife had the vegetarian penne and it was very flavorful! I had the mushroom risotto. This was so creamy and cheesy! I also had the side salad with the vinaigrette dressing, so good!
The Sintra Terrace is such a nice place! In the historic centre, with a beautiful view, very friendly staff and really good food! We ordered the sirloin strips and pork tenderloin and they were so good! Perfectly cooked and nicely presented. When in Sintra, go to the Terrace!
Gorgeous views of Sintra below! The sangria and seafood pasta were just fine, but the octopus and duck/risotto were honestly phenomenal. Prices were acceptable and the wait staff was quite pleasant. Lovely little terrace.
